On 27 January 1945 Russian armies liberated Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp. Each year on this anniversary we honour the memory of those who were killed and salute the courage and fortitude of those who survived.
Our keynote speaker will be David Arnold MBE. His grandfather and mother came to this country as refugees from Germany; his grandmother and uncle were murdered in the Holocaust. David will be sharing some insights with us, particularly how and why
he is still inspired by his sense of loss to build respect, trust and friendship with people of all faiths and none.
David is Co-chair of Manchester Council of Christians and Jews and a valued friend of our community.
